“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
When Christ showed us how to pray, He broke down every barrier to our direct line to God. Our Father in heaven WANTS to hear from us.
Paul tells us to “pray without ceasing”, meaning we can talk to the Creator of time itself, all the time…
Speaking with God all the time activates something within us. We know we’re never alone. We perceive the world He made in a different way. We feel His presence with us at all times as we step out in faith and he carries us through valleys and hills.
The Lord’s Prayer shows us that, in all things, the desire is for God’s will to be done. Like a loving Father, God’s will is always what is best for us. It is the perfect balance.
“In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
-Matthew 6:9-13
We are here to pray for you.
